Selfie's and Self Portrait

Image
In this assignment, I learned what a self-portrait is and how to accomplish one. A self-portrait is of yourself but does not focus primarily on your face like a selfie does. Additionally, I took the first selfies I had in a long time. Making selfies is not something I do often and excluding this assignment I probably took less than 10 selfies in the last five years. This experience, while normal to must people felt odd to me and taught me more about why people love taking selfies and could take 25000 selfies in their life. https://www.fotor.com/app.html#/collage/d5731a20-7f6b-11ea-88f1-f949faf48132/classic

Camera vs. Phone

During this project, I was forced to use my phone instead of an actual camera. While the pictures that the camera makes take longer, they also allow you more freedom in the picture. For instance, the light on the china blocks the images. Both of the pictures were made using shapes and colors while only the china used lines and the rule of thirds. These pictures were shot from different angles and while editing, the pictures were cropped and the colors such a saturation were changed. Additionally, looks were used and the china also has a frame.
