Simon's portraits

Image
During this shoot, I learned more about how to take portraits and how to shoot people in their element.  When I did this, I wanted to take Simon from many different angles at many different places. I made him pretend to play tennis and took a photo at the perfect point. This made a photo with the ball at a perfect hight. I made sure to make these photos of Simon contain Simon at many different positions including standing, sitting, with eyes closed and with eyes open.

Dancers In New York

In this assignment I learned that it is best to take photos in bursts to be able to find the best position. It is  also very important to use the background to write a story with the dancers. It works very well when things match. For instance everyone doing their own pose on a background without symmetry and matching colors. Another option is to use multiple people in one photo. This way you can make symmetry between the dancers. Besides symmetry, opposition is very important in order to make a story.
